Teachers are increasingly creating their own media resources to use in the classroom. Storing videos, podcasts and slideshows online and accessing them again in your lessons, however, can be difficult as many commercial websites are being blocked in schools due to their unsuitable content. The ukteachertube website accepts only media resources for use in the classroom. Each one is individually checked before being hosted - this is your guarantee of a safe, reliable website for you and your students.

The aim of ukteachertube is to create a website where teachers from across the whole UK curriculum can store short videos, podcasts and slideshows relating to their subject and then share them with their colleagues. The resources can then be accessed online at any time. In this way, you do not have to worry about transferring large files on memory sticks, installing the files before you teach the lesson, etc.

You can also suggest short video clips (adverts, government videos, etc), podcasts and slideshows created by others that we might be able to host on ukteachertube. In some cases, permission will need to be sought before they can be added for general use.
